We talked pets and had a pet photo contest Thursday, November 8 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. PT/9:00 – 10:00 p.m. ET. There were THREE winners of a copy of my soon-to-be-published new e-book for best/cutest pet photo! The were @GemWebb, @KimWhix, and @Casudi. The cover is pictured at the bottom of this post. #DadChat has been having some HEAVY topics lately so I felt it was time for a lighter night for our community.

Trey Burley is the writer behind Daddy Mojo. Before being a dad Trey did fundraising, PR and social media for PAWS Atlanta, the largest and oldest no-kill animal shelter in the southeast. During his time there he got the shelter on Animal Planet’s It’s Me Or the Dog with Victoria Stillwell, increased their income by 95% and decreased expenses by 35%. When he left the shelter to start his own company in 2010 they had were #1 on Twitter under the ‘animal shelter’ and ‘humane society’. Currently Trey manages social media for a couple small businesses and is about to start writing for a new pet website that is launching in December. He has Wilson and Abby (two retrievers) and Ripley and Gianni (two cats). When Trey and his lovely bride got married he tried (unsuccessfully) to have the dogs in the wedding, the dogs forgave them.

This was our beloved Tache, who sadly died after a long life, drowning in our pool! My wife believes it was her choice to go...
