I am somewhere in India or Africa for this week’s #DadChat on Thursday, December 19 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. PT/9:00 -10:00 p.m. ET. But, in anticipation of my absence I went looking and found the ONLY two moms in the world who would admit it. Yep, they are going to admit that they are happy when their adult children go home AFTER visiting for “The Holidays.” Yes, these two moms love their kids, but they love them more from afar.
Madison Avenue and Hollywood want us to believe that “The Holidays” is a time of peace, joy, and family love. Jodi Okun and Sharon Greenthal know better. And, they’re going public for the first time with their revelations and the truth about the JOYS of being empty-nest parents! How do you prep for your kids coming home for the holidays? What if they want to bring a boyfriend or a girlfriend? Who sleeps where? Let’s not get into political talk or weird diets, please!
Jodi and Sharon are good friends of mine but I don’t really trust them. While I’m away, they might “talk” about me. Just ignore all that stuff – they have vivid imaginations. Hopefully, I’ll have wi-fi access and be able to lurk a bit, if the Somali Pirates will let me!
