Who hasn’t made a mistake with Social Media? And, whose kid hasn’t hit send a bit too quickly or posted a photo they later regret? This Thursday, May 23 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. PT/9:00 – 10:00 p.m. ET, we’re going to chat about these sort of common mistakes we all make and perhaps focus a bit on guiding our kids to at least pause before hitting that dangerous SEND button! We are fortunate to have Social Media whiz John Paul Aguiar as this week’s co-host.

Yeah, it may sound corny to want to change the world, but we can. When we look at the problems in our world, they can seem too big, too overwhelming for any of us to affect. But, when you look at it ONE person at a time, then perhaps it isn’t so daunting! In Judaism, it’s called Tikkun Olam, which roughly means to Repair the World. Jews are asked to do this “one person at a time.” Our kids will be the arbiters of change. We must empower them, lead them, and model for them. That is what we’ll discuss with the inimitable Angela Maiers this Thursday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. PT/9:00 – 10:00 p.m. ET. We are so happy and honored to have @Guy Kawasaki return to #DadChat. This time he’s going to talk about his new book, APE: How to Publish a Book – Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur. I will ask him several questions as a frustrated author of two books on how I/we can do it best. I will also ask GK questions about fatherhood and hockey. The former since he’s a father of four; the latter since he’s taken up ice hockey in his forties and I want to know WHY THE HECK he would do THAT!?

Anything Goes at #DadChat

This Thursday, April 11, we will have an Anything Goes #DadChat. What does that mean? Simply, the topics we’ll cover can cover “Anything!” Of course, we always keep #DadChat no more risque than PG-13, but that still allows for discussion on most any topic that YOU want to chat about. #DadChat has evolved into an incredible 24/7 community and moved beyond only parent-centric topics, though that is still our emphasis. So, much as my friend @MackCollier does once-a-month at his #blogchat with “Open Mic,” we’re going to do the same this Thursday. Bring it! Seriously, share something where you want some advice or feedback? Share a great joke? A video?
