One of my favorite mantras is that the job of being a parent is being our kids best parent rather than their best friend. As strongly as I believe in that, I also believe we can be cool to our kids by doing things that support being their best parent. This may seems at odds, but truly it’s not.
This Old Guy was recognized by various kids in the Terrain Park at Park City…now, the lift operators are asking him if he’s going to do the pipe today! He’s developing a “rep!”
I met this amazing 15-year-old kid today – Sasha Lion Johnstone – who does incredible jumps in the Terrain Park here at Park City. This guy is going to be a X-Games STAR not to mention The Olympics! Mark my words!

A little Terrain Park action shot with my new GoPro HERO3+ at Park City. I didn’t do much because I don’t “play” in the park. I prefer the half-pipe but it was closed due to the Junior Olympics taking place there.
