This was the first time I “GOT” the value of an Ivy League education. Not that I ever disparaged one before, but this tour and the information expressed gave me an insight into how cool going to a college like Yale could be. I sort of wish I could do it all over again!

Why I Dislike #Disney Theme Parks but Love Their Movies
I grew up in Los Angeles and most of my birthdays as a child were celebrated at Disneyland. It was in Anaheim. It was the ONLY Disneyland. Ever heard the expression, “an e-ticket ride?” Well, in those days, Disneyland had A through E tickets (for each attraction) so you had to parcel them out and be careful not to use up all your E tickets, which were for the “best” rides (like the Matterhorn).

They say that the biggest three issues that couples argue about are money, sex, and kids. Perhaps we should take on all three this coming Thursday, August 6 at #DadChat at 6:00 p.m. PT/7:00 p.m. MT/9:00 p.m. ET? For now, let’s concentrate on how money affects us and our kids. How do we teach our kids about money, saving, checking accounts, budgeting, investing, planning for the future, etc.?
Is #DadChat Back? Should It Be? Please VOTE With a Comment!
As many of you know, #DadChat and I were “hit” by haters earlier this year. It made me re-evaluate my thoughts about Social Media as a whole and my place in this ever-changing landscape. #DadChat was “my baby” and I loved the good we were doing by discussing topics as tough as Sexual Abuse, Religion, and Race. We also had many lighter topics, often music-related.
Are #Marriage and Having Children Dying?
One of my joys in life is talking with people wherever I go. My kids used to be completely embarrassed by this trait of mine but now don’t even pay attention. As my boys are entering adulthood and the challenges, options, and choices they will face, I find myself more interested in how young people are choosing to live their lives. More and more, my scientific polling and studies (hardly) seem to indicate less interest in marriage or kids.
