As many of you know, #DadChat and I were “hit” by haters earlier this year. It made me re-evaluate my thoughts about Social Media as a whole and my place in this ever-changing landscape. #DadChat was “my baby” and I loved the good we were doing by discussing topics as tough as Sexual Abuse, Religion, and Race. We also had many lighter topics, often music-related.
We are honored to have the authors of the just published book — The Art of Social Media — Guy Kawasaki and Peg Fitzpatrick as our guests at #DadChat Thursday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET. Guy is making his fourth appearance at #DadChat and continuing his streak of educating our community on the topic of his latest book. It’s worth noting that Guy is the father of four boys. Peg is both his co-author and business partner, as well as a mom and Social Media star in her own right. Plus, YOU can win one of THREE copies of their new book this week at #DadChat.

Last month, I was sworn to secrecy, signed a non-disclosure form, pledged my allegiance to the Gods of Google and Motorola, and my own Godfather, Guy Kawasaki, and went to Silicon Valley to hear, see, and touch the new Motorola phone, the Moto-X.
Thursday evening Guy Kawasaki co-hosted #DadChat to the biggest night we’ve ever had and, probably, one of the biggest 1-hour TweetChats EVER. It was fun, informative, entertaining, plus Guy generously gave away PDF’s of his new book, What the Plus! What a treat it was. Got a couple fun, new columns up this week. Seven Days Without My iPhone was my true adventure and the REAL challenge I faced on my recent heli-skiing trip. After seeing the new DisneyNature film “Chimpanzee,” I was inspired to write An Ironic Father-Son Story #IRL. You will immediately understand the title upon reading the column. We’ve got great guests lined up for #DadChat, with The Barefoot Executive, Carrie Wilkerson coming this Thursday, April 19 and Mack Collier of #blogchat joining us the following Thursday, April 26.
