My last Social Media Social Good column talked about some lessons learned when the “haters” went after me. Next, I’d like to share how my use of SoMe has changed, both as a result of that experience and a result of my evolving goals (from Social Media). Perhaps this is the perfect topic for my new focus on boomers in my writing. After all, I’m fond of saying that “pretty much, the only good thing to come from MY generation is rock ‘n’ roll.”
The other night I attended a concert at a local, wonderful venue – The Egyptian Theatre – in Park City, Utah. B.J. Thomas – 73 – was closing a three-day stint. I looked around the audience and wondered why there were so many “old people” there. Then I remembered that I was one of those “old people.” Not in spirit, certainly, but in birth date!
Okay, I have become a bit obsessed with golf. Now that I live ON a golf course, is it any wonder? So, I post daily photos of “my” golf adventures. So what? I began this blog series before this “obsession,” when I did play golf but most definitely didn’t take it seriously. I still don’t “take is seriously” but I have begun to truly love it. So, this series will continue with a bit more enthusiasm and experience.
