As most of you know, I’m a very bashful guy: the shy, retiring, quiet sort who doesn’t share his feelings or opinions. I wish. My personality gets me into occasional trouble, IRL. I also can occasionally put my foot in it online via a Tweet, email, or comment. BUT, twitter IS the most dangerous one of them all, for you and me!

This past summer was concert season and this was just one of many I attended. It was at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California. A very intimate club where some pretty big names occasionally perform. Kenny Loggins lives nearby in Montecito (next to Santa Barbara, California) so it was easy for him to come and perform. I loved it and had such a good time. It’s obvious from this video!
There is NO DOUBT that money is at the top of everyone’s list of concerns these days. There’s also no doubt that money is one of the topics that cause many rifts between couples and families. How do we teach our kids to respect money? To save? To learn delayed gratification? The inimitable Pam Moore was our very special co-host for this #DadChat! Who hasn’t heard or used the expression, “Oh, it’s just a white lie?” I sure have. Why do we mitigate the lie we’ve done? Are there good and bad lies? Is it wise to lie sometimes? The answer is, “Yes.” Like so much in life, there’s a grey area and that is what I’d like to explore.
The Evolution of Technology series continues with Audio Tape, co-written by Professor David E. Weber and myself.
Who remembers reel-to-reel tape recorders? How about 8-Track cassettes AND the sound they made when they switched from one to another of the four “tracks?” Regular audiocassettes, remember those? There was a time, when we had vinyl LPs aka record albums and ONLY various forms of audiotape. But, I’m dating myself yet again.
