I was “hit” by the haters over a single tweet (out of nearly 200,000 I have sent) and ignored when I explained and clarified it. The details are ultimately irrelevant but the lessons for me (and perhaps for you) are invaluable.

A Boomer’s Point-of-View: Adult Boys #Millennials
Adult Boys – perhaps that’s an oxymoron or contradiction in terms? But, in my mind, it’s an apt description of many young adults today; many so-called “millennials,” of which I have two. My two are now out of the house and we are empty nesters. In many ways, I am quite happy and, to my surprise, adjusted very quickly to their absence. In other ways, I’m alarmed or concerned or just mystified (by their generation).
How #Millennials (#Dads and #Moms) Are Changing EVERYTHING with Special Guest Brian Fanzo at #DadChat Thursday
Millennials. MILLENNIALS. Jokes and more surround them. It used to be the Baby Boomers and “my” generation still wants to think it’s all about them. But, WE gotta face reality as we are getting older – the boomers – in spite of botox and face-lifts! #Golf is Like Raising Kids – #DadChat
Okay, I have become a bit obsessed with golf. Now that I live ON a golf course, is it any wonder? So, I post daily photos of “my” golf adventures. So what? I began this blog series before this “obsession,” when I did play golf but most definitely didn’t take it seriously. I still don’t “take is seriously” but I have begun to truly love it. So, this series will continue with a bit more enthusiasm and experience.
Why I Dislike #Disney Theme Parks but Love Their Movies
I grew up in Los Angeles and most of my birthdays as a child were celebrated at Disneyland. It was in Anaheim. It was the ONLY Disneyland. Ever heard the expression, “an e-ticket ride?” Well, in those days, Disneyland had A through E tickets (for each attraction) so you had to parcel them out and be careful not to use up all your E tickets, which were for the “best” rides (like the Matterhorn).
money #Money MONEY at #DadChat Thursday #Moms #Dads
They say that the biggest three issues that couples argue about are money, sex, and kids. Perhaps we should take on all three this coming Thursday, August 6 at #DadChat at 6:00 p.m. PT/7:00 p.m. MT/9:00 p.m. ET? For now, let’s concentrate on how money affects us and our kids. How do we teach our kids about money, saving, checking accounts, budgeting, investing, planning for the future, etc.?
Is #DadChat Back? Should It Be? Please VOTE With a Comment!
As many of you know, #DadChat and I were “hit” by haters earlier this year. It made me re-evaluate my thoughts about Social Media as a whole and my place in this ever-changing landscape. #DadChat was “my baby” and I loved the good we were doing by discussing topics as tough as Sexual Abuse, Religion, and Race. We also had many lighter topics, often music-related.
Are #Marriage and Having Children Dying?
One of my joys in life is talking with people wherever I go. My kids used to be completely embarrassed by this trait of mine but now don’t even pay attention. As my boys are entering adulthood and the challenges, options, and choices they will face, I find myself more interested in how young people are choosing to live their lives. More and more, my scientific polling and studies (hardly) seem to indicate less interest in marriage or kids.
