Concert Series: Kenny Loggins and The House on Pooh Corner

This past summer was concert season and this was just one of many I attended. It was at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California. A very intimate club where some pretty big names occasionally perform. Kenny Loggins lives nearby in Montecito (next to Santa Barbara, California) so it was easy for him to come and perform. I loved it and had such a good time. It’s obvious from this video!

When is a Lie, a LIE?

Who hasn’t heard or used the expression, “Oh, it’s just a white lie?” I sure have. Why do we mitigate the lie we’ve done? Are there good and bad lies? Is it wise to lie sometimes? The answer is, “Yes.” Like so much in life, there’s a grey area and that is what I’d like to explore.

The Evolution of Technology: Audio Tape

The Evolution of Technology series continues with Audio Tape, co-written by Professor David E. Weber and myself.

Who remembers reel-to-reel tape recorders? How about 8-Track cassettes AND the sound they made when they switched from one to another of the four “tracks?” Regular audiocassettes, remember those? Professor Weber will weigh in with his thoughts later in this column.

Dad Writes Another Check: School Expenses

school expenses

I write more and more checks for school expenses and get more requests to raise money for schools.  Why do we have to pay for the school expenses and EVERY extra-curricular activity that USED TO BE available at our schools? I did Drivers Ed in high school. Now, we pay for it!

Bruce is Going #Vegan

I’ve been going #Vegan going on six months now. This video and the interviews were done just a few weeks into this new diet, as I was just going #vegan. Since then, I’ve had a second doctor’s visit with equally positive results. HOWEVER, my doc convinced me to add a bit of chicken to my diet as a precaution to be sure I was getting enough protein.

The Evolution of Technology: The Answering Machine

The Evolution of Technology series continues with The Answering Machine. Professor David E. Weber will largely write this column, with an introduction and closing by me.
