Dad Gets Sentimental on Father’s Day

Dad Gets Sentimental On Father's Day

It’s another Father’s Day and while I’m NOT That Dad, and “Son” is not my son, my son Aaron did draw this B&W cartoon for me for Father’s Day, 2008. I used to go around the house singing that song to the melody of the Indiana Jones theme song. I can be sentimental at times. Enjoy my Father’s Day column, Father’s Day: Things I’ve Loved and Learned as a Dad.

What lessons have you learned from LIFE? With Father’s Day coming up, I share some I learned being a dad in this week’s column, Things I’ve Loved and Learned Being a Dad. What’s New on Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day this Sunday. Who’s YOUR Daddy? What’s new? I have posted my reflections on being a dad – Things I’ve Loved and Learned – this Father’s Day. Look for the new Because I Said So comic on Thursday, also in honor of Father’s Day. And, #DadChat is doing The Change Challenge with @SmashFit and inviting the #FriendsOfRicki to join us. Speaking of the #FriendsOfRicki, I am their “Friend of the Week” this week! How cool is that? Will be posting a new I’m NOT That Dad vlog tomorrow. Do you think I have enough links in this short update?

What Are Your Social Media Tools?

YouTube had yet to appear. Oh, and I heard about all the porn. Not much else. Facebook, Schmacebook. Twiiter? Why did I need to know where you were having lunch? Tweet Chats? Gimme a break…another chat room? Forget it.

Repair the World One Person At a Time

When I began writing, my initial goal was to be a dad advocate as my own experiences motivated me in that direction. I still advocate on behalf of dads and all parents. But, as I ventured into the world of Social Media, I realized I had another goal of larger importance and that was to do my part to make the world a better place – to do my part to Repair the World, or Heal the World as Michael Jackson said!

Find the Balance in Your #SocialMedia Life

The title of this column IS A STATEMENT. If I’d added a question mark, it would be a question. If I added “How to” at the beginning, it would be a tutorial. I made a purposeful choice with this title because I am advocating strongly to find that balance in your Social Media life much as we all strive to find balance in our lives as a whole. We all want to avoid too much stress. Some call it stress management. I’d prefer to call is LIFE management.
