Yep, I made my own infomercial for my new e-book, The Empty-Nest Road Trip Blues: An Interactive Journal from A Dad’s Point-of-View. It’s available NOW as a PDF and on Amazon/Kindle. Oh, it is expensive – so start saving for its whopping $2.79 cost for the PDF and $2.99 for the Kindle version. do you think I have what it takes to be an infomercial star?
A Debate about #JournalismBy Professor Kenna Griffin* and Bruce Sallan Bruce Sallan: One of the many joys of Social Media is the incredible people we meet. Many of these “virtual” friends as I like to call them, eventually become IRL (In Real Life) friends and many stay “virtual,” as has my friendship with Professor Griffin. We’ve gotten to “know” one another via Twitter and our regular participation in certain Tweet Chats. Men vs. Women: How We Choose Our PartnersOur Men vs Women blog series continues with a biggee: How we choose our partners. I sincerely believe this is yet another instance where our differences show up big-time and reflect our inherently diverse sensibilities. I will also declare up front my bottom-line conclusion that women are smarter – for the most part – in this area. Read the first two in this series: Men vs. Women: Differences Between Men and Women’s Money Management Skills The Evolution of Technology: #CoffeeThe Evolution of Technology blog series is written by Bruce Sallan and Professor David E. Weber Our series continues with the evolution of home coffee machines. Is there anything more ubiquitous in our lives? Oh yeah, television…but we did that already. Radio Show: Gratitude at #ThanksgivingThursday, November 15, 2012 Featured guests: Wayne Levine (BetterMenCoaching.com) for “The Men’s Room.” Pastor Drew Sams (DrewSams.com) for “Teen Rap.” Special Guest, Dr. Jennifer Weberman (The Parenting Playground) This show is loosely based on this week’s “A Dad’s Point-of-View” column, Thanksgiving Gratitude for the Whole Family. Gratitude at Thanksgiving is essential! An Amazing PartyLarry and Nancy Sanitsky threw the Bar Mitzvah Party of ALL-TIME on Saturday evening, November 10th for their son, Nevin. They took over the top floors of the AT&T building in Downtown L.A. Clearly they also made a deal with G*d, for the weather was spectacular, with incredible clear views from the top of this building. The ceremony took place as the sun set. The party was split between an adult area and kid area with both getting incredible music, food, and spirits. Larry put on an amazing show which is fully captured in this video – don’t miss it! I got to re-connect with old showbiz friends I hadn’t seen in years like my former partner Allen Shapiro, long-time friends Sam and Shanit Schwartz, Ilene Kahn Power, and so many of their kids that I’d not seen since they were little. It felt like a reunion. It was spectacular and this video just gives you a hint of the evening! Enjoy! #DadChat Gave Thanks at #ThanksgivingWhat are YOU thankful for this Thanksgiving? We shared the blessings we all have and gave thanks – with each other – Thursday, November 15 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. PT/9:00 – 10:00 p.m. ET – the week before Thanksgiving. Don’t you know that GRATITUDE is the single biggest ingredient to happiness? The homework for this #DadChat was to read Thanksgiving Gratitude for the Whole Family. #Thanksgiving Gratitude for the Whole FamilyHow many people use Thanksgiving to reflect on their lives, to express gratitude for their blessings, and to reflect on those less fortunate? As a parent, this is one of those fabulous teaching moments for kids. Of course, prepare the great meal and invite friends and family, but perhaps there is greater good to be had? (Note: Enjoy last years Thanksgiving column, too) |
